Looking ahead to next month already for the Vancouver Motorcycle Show? We are! This huge event is an absolute must see for riders based in or visiting Vancouver. Scheduled for January 19th to 22nd this year, we get in four days of fun. Check out some of the latest models from your favorite motorcycle manufacturers, as well as massive amounts of cool gear, accessories, apparel, and of course shop talk from all corners of the world.
 
BMW has set out to please its most ardent enthusiasts with a few limited editions, including the new R1200GS Rallye. This new machine is sure to please boxer fans, and especially those who follow Dakar.
BMW has also updated the S1000RR and has given it a bevy of new gear including suspension, chassis, and electronics for the new model year. These changes give it better handling, steering accuracy and feedback through a new frame and steering head angles, as well as a new instrument cluster for better readability.
Another new change for the year: The F800GS is sporting three new colors that won't last long on the showroom floor. Check it out in Graphite Metallic, Triple Black, and Trophy.

Is your motorcycle affected by any outstanding technical service bulletins or recalls? If you are not the original owner, are you properly registered with Ducati or BMW to have future recalls mailed to you? Have you recently moved and did not update your mailing address with Ducati or BMW?
Some problems are only discovered once many models of the motorcycle are on the roads and in use. The design software and engineers behind each and every part of the motorcycle are not always capable of finding every single potential failure situation, so even the best designed parts may fail after many miles of use.
No matter the reason for the issuance of the recall notice, the motorcycle owner is usually asked to take their machine into their local dealership for repair or replacement; this is a free service to the owner. If you have purchased your motorcycle second hand and are not on a manufacturer’s mailing list, you will not be informed of the problem and will not get your recall notice. Thus, if you do not know about the recall, you may be riding on a motorcycle that may have outstanding technical service bulletins or recalls.
The service department at Vancouver BMW Ducati proactively runs ever motorcycle for outstanding recalls or technical service bulletins when the bike arrives for any service work. If there are any recalls that need to be performed we always inform the customer. If your motorcycle has not been in for service recently or you would like the peace of mind knowing that you are all up to date on any potential recalls please contact our service department team.
